Elon Musk vs Jeff Bezos: The Space World Rivalry

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk may never be competitors, but when it comes to exploration of space and other planets, they're bitter rivals.

Elon Musk Vs Jeff Bezos

The space race between capitalist America and the communist USSR saw decades of competition for what humanity could achieve in space, and all pushed into the name of ideological superiority. A new space race is underway, but rather than a confrontation between countries, it is a confrontation of the ego between two billionaires (billionaires rivalry) who made their fortune on the Internet. “Elon Musk VS Jeff Bezos”

Story of Elon Musk And Jeff Bezos

Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are the two billionaires with in-depth knowledge and pocket for businesses and sky-high ambitions. As we know that Jeff Bezos is the king of the joint of tech, the pair have crossed paths more times than I’m sure they would like igniting a few links with jet fuel but starting to eat up.

Despite Bay through two completely different industries, they’re interested in, visually clash driven, what we like to consider the new era Space Race. Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are two of the most powerful CEOs in the world. You see, Jeff Bezos is currently the wealthiest survivor and runs Amazon’s sprawling empire while engaging himself as a founder of Blue Origin, looking to send people to the moon with an innovative aerospace manufacturer that Attempting to make space exploration cheaper.

On the other hand, as we know, Elon Musk is a dual CEO, which ships to both Tesla and SpaceX, an innovative aerospace manufacturer striving to make space exploration cheaper and wanted to send humanity to mars to expand our boundaries in this endless space. I’m sure you can see why this is causing, but it hasn’t always been musk in the red corner pays off in the blue.

When and where did this rival begin? Elon Musk Vs Jeff Bezos

This is several years behind. In 2004, they had dinner together, and they were not enemies. They just sat and talked. They even share data in 2004 to discuss ideas about their pioneering space endeavors when both space companies were in their infancy, and neither company had completed any launches yet. But after moving steadily over many years when their systems started coming together and then what you begin to see is some rivalry, some big rivalry between billionaires.

While both companies threw some importance around in the same industry for over a decade, their rivalry heated up and started to gain some real momentum in 2013, when NASA decided to offer the “Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39″, the 39, a pad served as the starting point for countless space missions spanning as far back as the 1960s, including the infamous Apollo 11 in 1969.

Most of us are retired shuttle fleet in 2011, and they decided it was time to hand the Facilities Management over to a private company, saving taxpayers around $100,000 a month in upkeep costs alone. So when the tried and tested launch facility came up for grabs in 2013, complete with NASA built infrastructure.

The proposal also hinted at future launches carrying NASA astronauts to the station as well. While musk intended to use the launch site mostly for SpaceX endeavors, Bezos and Blue Origin took a different approach. Blue Origin proposed managing 39A as a multi-user facility, saying that it will offer other rocket companies the power to use while working towards making use of it later.

Blue Origin (along with SpaceX) filed a formal protest with the government to prevent SpaceX from using the pad – Bezos proposed converting it “into a commercial spaceport available to all launch companies.”

And from here, the core of Elon Musk vs Jeff Bezos begins. After this incident, the media, news, and the fans who liked him and who considered him to be his role model all started the trend of Elon Musk vs Jeff Bezos.

Musk called the move a “phony blocking tactic” and took another swipe at Blue Origin.

Essentially Bezos wanted to rent, and musk was all ready to go, tilting the scales in his favor, feeling a little behind musk squeezed resources in a lemon. So in a bitter response, he partnered up with the United Launch Alliance to find a formal protest with the government to avoid Musk’s application.

“[Blue Origin] has not yet succeeded in creating a reliable suborbital spacecraft, despite spending over 10 years in development,” Musk told Space News at the time. “If they do somehow show up in the next five years with a vehicle qualified to Nasa’s human rating standards that can dock with the Space Station, which is what Pad 39A is meant to do, we will gladly accommodate their needs.”

They pleaded that Musk’s plans to use the launch site exclusively for SpaceX were unfair. After all, sharing is caring. Musk dubbed it a load of BS and a phony blogging tactic, stating that SpaceX was open to sharing the site with NASA and other private companies if necessary. After a few backs and forth, NASA eventually moved forward into negotiations finalizing the deal with musk coming into 2014, leaving the basis out of the picture entirely.

“Frankly, I think we are more likely to discover unicorns dancing in the flame duct,” he added. SpaceX eventually won the right to take over the pad.

So it was one to nil in mosques favor, but this was just the beginning, and less than a year later. Once again, the two were firing shots, an academy estimate based on previous patents for technology to build reusable rockets that land on a seagoing platform. The customer can take off and land multiple times and its usable life.

In 2014, the two companies got into a battle for the patent—Blue Origin, granting patents for drone ships used for landing rocket boosters. SpaceX petitioned to invalidate the patent.

A key component of making space travel more affordable. Despite SpaceX being the industry leader and already testing several small takeoff and landing rockets, if they succeeded in making one fully operational, they would be forced to pay basis and Blue Origin settlement litigation or licensing fees.

Musk being a big player didn’t fancy the idea of shelling out cash to his competitor, so disputed the patent profusely, stating that the idea of launching a rocket and landing it vertically is an old one. On September 1, 2015, he reigned victorious when all 15 points of Bezos his patent was finally canceled.

Blue Origin’s ownership of the patent would mean SpaceX would need to pay to use the technology. SpaceX argued that the science in the patent was “old hat,” given that the concept of drone ships has been around for decades.

In recent years, Musk and Bezos have been more public about their feud, taking their rivalry to Twitter and continues the trend of Elon Musk Vs Jeff Bezos.

Up until this point, the feud between Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos was mostly private. Still, by the end of 2015, things started to go public, back and forth Twitter public from November 23, 2015, Blue Origin successfully launched and landed its New Shepard rocket marking them the first couple.

To return it safely back to Earth the landing, Bezos made his way to Twitter and said, the rarest of beasts, a used rocket control landing not easy but done right can look easy alongside a short video clip,  Musk responded with a tweet of Congratulation. Still, he couldn’t just leave it at that.

When the BBC asked Musk about Bezos in 2016, he responded, “Jeff who?”

He also stated that rocketing up a payload and bringing the booster back the landing will take 100 times more energy. In short, Musk was telling basis. Good job, buddy, but your little blue origin is not even in the same league as my SpaceX just a month later, must do exactly what he said he would be sending a payload into space and returning the booster safely back the landing the friction between the two increased and the frequency of the public Pickering continued.

But Elon Musk And Jeff Bezos have continued to make progress – and grow their wealth – even as their rivalry continues.

“Go live on the top of Mount Everest for a year first and see if you like it because it’s a garden paradise compared to Mars,” Bezos said in 2019.

During his presentation for Blue Moon, Bezos referenced SpaceX’s Mars ambitions once again, titling a slide about Mars “FAR, FAR AWAY.”

In May, SpaceX experienced a historic first: the company successfully launched two Nasa astronauts into space.

“This is a dream come true for me and everyone else at SpaceX,” Musk said at the time. “I didn’t even dream that this would come true.”

Musk has repeatedly and publicly called Bezos a “copycat” – once after Amazon announced its plan to launch internet-beaming satellites and again when Amazon acquired self-driving-taxi company Zoox.

Earlier this month, Musk became the fifth-wealthiest person globally with a net worth of more than US$74 billion, while Bezos remains the wealthiest person in the world. On one day earlier in July, Bezos added US$13 billion to his net worth, nudging his wealth to more than US$189 billion.

Elon Musk Vs Jeff Bezos – But in the end, it doesn’t matter which one of them be the first to the moon or the first to establish a colony beyond Earth, or whose company is better and who is the most successful.

Whether their thinking is different, their companies are other, or their way of working is different, But both ( Elon Musk And Jeff Bezos) want to spread humanity to more places in this infinite universe apart from Earth where we can create a big bolder future; otherwise, we just Will stick on the surface of a rock.
